Traveling through the West MacDonnell Ranges we make our way to the Historic Precinct of Hermannsburg for a quick leg stretch then journey along the ancient Finke River bed to Palm Valley for morning tea.
Its then a short 4WD adventure before wandering amongst the relict Palms and Cycads of Cycad Gorge. Continuing from here drive into Palm Valley and explore the ancient palms of this unique area.
We then return to Kalaranga Lookout to discover the beauty of the Amphitheatre
By mid afternnon its time to return to Hermannsburg Historic Precinct for a Ploughman's Lunch before relaxing with time to explore the historic buildings and Art Gallery featuring works of the famous Aboriginal Artist Albert Namatjira.
In the late afternoon we return to Alice Springs watching the fading light reflecting of the MacDonnell Ranges.
